Must be worn in conjunction with certified ballistic panels and body armor. The ZB-7 Trauma Pad is not armor and provides no ballistic protection. The Trauma pad dissipates some, but not all, of the energy transmitted through a ballistic vest or armor when impacted by a bullet or other object and the ZB-7 Trauma Pad reduces but does not eliminate, backface deformation and blunt trauma. The trauma pad will not eliminate the transmission of kinetic energy from a bullet or other object into your body and will not elimiate the risk of seious injury or death even when the trauma pad is worn in conjunction with ballistic panels and boday armor.
To use, slide a ZB-7 Trauma Pad� into each panel shirt pocket (with the 5.11 logo facing you) before putting on your body armor.

At rest, ZB-7� (powered by Zoombang�) is soft and conforms easily to the body. But under shear force from blunt-trauma impact, vibration or g-force side loads, it temporarily transforms to a solid to dissipate energy. Grooves built into the pad help improve airflow and allow its semi-liquid nature to conform to your body.
How it works:
The Zoombang material is soft and pliable when at rest.
Upon impact, its molecules lock together into a solid state, dissipating the shock across a wider area.
After impact it returns to its initial state.
